Limelight Prime hydrangea is a live outdoor plant that boasts several key differences from its predecessor. Firstly, it blooms much earlier, creating a longer display, which is particularly valuable in colder climates where 'Limelight' might not bloom until late August. Additionally, the blooms have bolder, brighter color, as the green blooms age to develop vivid pink and red tones that are far more showy than conventional panicle hydrangeas.

Gardeners can count on Limelight Prime hydrangea to produce dozens of big, beautiful, mophead blooms every year, even in cold climates. These plants are delivered dormant with little to no leaves during the late fall and winter months, and can be planted immediately upon arrival, weather permitting.

Limelight Prime is an excellent choice for a commanding specimen or flowering hedge, and also makes a beautiful backdrop for a garden or the centerpiece of a perennial or flower garden. For best results, plant in USDA Zones 3-8, and prune by cutting back the main branches by one-third in late winter or early spring, or in late fall once the plant has gone completely dormant. Fertilize in early spring, just as the ground begins to thaw in cold climates.
